Two Sri Lankans Excel In Wildlife Photography

Photographers Buddhilini De Soyza and 10-year-old Gagana Mendis Wickramasinghe’s entries at the annual Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition, co-run by the BBC and the Natural History Museum, London, have made it to the list of “Highly Commended” entries.

De Soyza’s photograph depicts a coalition of cheetahs crossing a river in Kenya’s Maasai Mara and Wickramasinghe captured rose-ringed parakeet chicks peeking out of their nest in Colombo.
