Sri Lanka’s Third Largest Graphite Mine

The government has granted the green light for excavations to commence at the Karasnagala mine in Aththanagalla, after a break of more than 70 years. Sri Lanka is renowned for the purity of its graphite, a mineral which is currently in high demand, particularly from the electric car industry.
